Above the Fold returned to the The Mick Lally Theatre for a day of inspiring talks leading into the night. And what better way to celebrate our annual conference, than by winding down with Lumo Club DJs at Electric Garden & Theatre for a club vibe with no restrictions on genre.
Lumo is not another house and techno night. It’s a club night where you dance with friends, old and new. Lumo takes place monthly at Yamamori Tengu, Dublin and at once-off parties at festivals who value fun and dancing.
The Lumo Club DJs raised the roof in Electric Galway’s Garden blasting our favourite hits from Arthur Russell to Anderson Paak, Beastie Boys to Bruce Springsteen, Phil Collins to Caribou, Fatima Yamaha to Fleetwood Mac, Grimes to George Michael, Kate Bush to Kraftwerk, LCD Soundsystem to La Bionda, Onyeabor to Outkast, Prince to The Prodigy, Robyn to Ryan Paris, Steely Dan to Soulwax and Talking Heads to Todd Terje.
Above the Fold by Night was a collaborative event in association with O’Hara’s Irish Craft Beers and Electric Garden & Theatre.
O’Hara’s Brewery is an independent Irish family owned business established in 1966 and one of the pioneers of Irish craft brewing. Located in the heart of Ireland’s traditional malt and hop-growing “Barrow Valley”.
Each beer is crafted using classic brewing methods to create the traditional Irish beers styles that have long since been forgotten by many of the larger breweries. Using four main ingredients; water, malts, hops and yeast to produce the highest quality craft beer range.
Above the Fold is a creative events project focused upon supporting and celebrating creativity in Ireland. We host pop-ups throughout Ireland, but our principal event is our annual conference in Galway City.
