Above the Fold 2016

Gigs in the Big Top. Pints in Tigh Neachtains. Life-sized pencils on Quay Street during Cúirt. The Galway Arts Centre. The odour from a dusty book in Charlie Byrnes. Fat Freddies pizza. Trad on Shop Street. Mr. Whippy’s soundsystem. Tulca. Eyre Square. Spanish Arch. Middle Arch. The Long Walk. Blackrock.

Galway is bursting with a steady flow of creative energy. We host an internationally renowned Arts Festival, as well as playing host to Europe’s largest Theatre Festival seeing venues across the city breathing life into literature and storytelling. Our artists never cease to amaze, and draw inspiration directly from the surrounding landscape. In short, it’s an exhilarating place to live.

Above the Fold was born from a passion for Galway, and for arts and culture in Ireland. The speakers we chose joined us for our inaugural conference as they share our enthusiasm for Ireland, and the creativity that it embodies.
